Of course I can't prove anything, but I use(d) my card for a small handful of autopay accounts, including vpscheap. All 'reputable' companies, IMO vpscheap being the 'least reputable'. I will also say, if you do set up a VPS with them, IMMEDIATELY set up fail2ban or some kind of security. I got over 1000 hits from China in the first 24hrs. I used the VPS for a year or so, then cancelled my service with them, and was charged another month anyway. I removed my card information, and within a day, got a $0.01 [test] charge at a Chicago parking garage. Ironic it was in Chicago, as I believe this is where vpscheap is headquartered. Just saying, as usual, cheap means you get what you pay for. Sometimes 'more'. Do what you want with your money, just check out the reviews and be careful out there.
Their server is not reliable and becomes unresponsive intermittently. I reported the problem, but they kept ignoring it. It cost me time and money, and after waiting for many days I moved to another provider
Besides their unreliable server, their customer service is also not professional and responds attackingly.
I've been renting three $20 a year servers from them for three years now, and for the most part things have been fine. But 48 hours ago, two of my three servers are inaccessible. Ironically the server that is still working is the one that they say they are going to retire in a month. The control panel says they are "on line" but I cannot connect via either SSH or HTTP. I filed a ticket and guess what! Their ticket system is broken! No email ever came through and the system does not show that I ever filed a ticket. You cannot get them on the phone! Their web site shows no phone number! I found their phone number elsewhere, but when you call, you get an announce only machine saying to use the web site to file a ticket, but you can't, because it's broken!
UPDATE: Today they got it fixed. All is good again, so I've upgraded them to "decent". Don't use them for anything mission critical that you don't either mind being down for two to three days, or that you don't have mirrored somewhere else that you can quickly point your DNS records at to get back up.
people need to understand that if a vps provider gives you backup system and the all other technical things, he will not be cheap+affordable, because those things will consume time to be maintained.

Scam company. Sent me an invoice for my 3rd month, paid it, and they cancelled my entire service with no explanation. Had to do a charge back at the bank. No response from support.
There is also virtually no way to pull your stuff into a back up so when they cut you off without warning, you lose most of your work.
Totally unfit for purpose, a hosting site that takes your money and cuts you off without warning doesn't seem to understand that's literally the one thing no one wants using a VPS.
the VPS took over 9 hours to be setup and once was live it was running Ubuntu 16, they advised that even though they have ubuntu 20 on the order form this is not a service they can offer.
then I found the connection to the vps to be very unstable and getting a 50% packet lose.
I contacted support and they advised to get a refund I need to first cancel the VPS then there finance department cant file for the refund.
the Finance department then advised me I'm not entitled to a refund because I have paid for the year??? (Service has been cancelled)
Since I have not been given the product I have purchased and quality of service is unacceptable please provide me with a REFUND!!
Our Terms of Service state that there are exceptions to the 30-day money back guarantee, including packages with extended billing cycles (such as annual).
We're happy to give you account credit to use a different service from us.
After purchasing, within 4 days they will ask you to verify your identity and if you don't answer, they will suspend your service and that's it. They have your money and you can't use your server.
All operating systems are also outdated, you'll face a lot of security issues if you will use their services.

I've bought a VPS which I couldn't use and I tried to reach their client service and no one's answering and the FAQ is terrible. I've cancelled my order the same day, and they don't want to reimburse me. European Law: If you bought a product or a service online or outside of a shop (by telephone, mail order, from a door-to-door salesperson), you also have the right to cancel and return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification.
So, in European countries, when you eat half of your meal, do you return it and ask for your money back? I think the real thief are those who take advantage of an already discounted cheap service and ask for seconds without paying.

I've ask for a cancellation in less than 24 hours! How can you keep the whole money for a whole year service when you've a client which cannot use it?! You're a bunch of stealers. You purchased an extended billing cycle server, for which you received a discount on our normal pricing. During your checkout process, you acknowledged that you read and understood our Terms of Service (ToS), which does state that there are exceptions to the 30 day guarantee, including purchases that use extended billing cycles.
After your services were delivered and used, you voluntarily placed an immediate cancellation request. On the cancellation request screen you were presented with a bold faced, predominately displayed message stating that any 30 day guarantee requests must be approved prior to cancellation. An immediate cancellation request was submitted, disregarding the alert displayed and the request was honored.
You then submitted a ticket requesting refund and requesting GDPR removal, which was declined as outlined in the Terms of Service (ToS), which governs our policies and your rights as our customer.
We are sorry that you chose to voluntarily cancel your services and then request GDPR removal, however, we would've been happy to remove your cancellation request prior to your GDPR removal.

I don't understand why you're answering, you can make whatever what rules, you've to follow European legislation when you're selling in European countries. Also, if your service was as great as you said, why your customers are leaving you? Why do we have an issue? Do you think I like to waste my time with bad companies like yours? You're supposed to sell a service to your customers, but you don't care about them, money is only what you want. You'll lose more and more customers because you don't understand why and what to do with your customers. Hopefully, PayPal will reimburse me because they follow the European laws.
